Families of Ezhuthachan community residing in
and round Delhi were leading their routine busy life,
ignorant about their community families – sometimes
even relatives - in their area. Realising the need
for greater interaction and to develop mutual friendship
and cordiality among the community members/ families,
some dedicated people came forward to unite the scattered
families under one common umbrella of an Association.
The selfless service of the late Shri P.K. Vasudhevan
and the able guidance of senior members like S/Shri
T. Devadasan, P. Sethumadhavan, fulfilled the aim
of formation of a registered Association. The significant
contributions of other senior members like S/Shri
M. Venugopaldas, . K. Sankaran, , A. Sreedharan, M.
Sethumadhavan, C.G. Kutty, P.R. Narayanan, M.R. Rabindranathan,
late Sh. Sreedharan etc. are also note-worthy in the
history and development of the Association.
The Ezhuthachan Welfare Association, Delhi, a socio-cultural
welfare organization thus came into existence in 1998,
having got its legal status as an organization registered
under the Govt. of NCT of Delhi, vide No. S-33437
of 1998. The pioneering efforts of the founder members
earned the Association its due recognition and credible
standing among sister organizations, members &
families. Over the years, the Association as a forum
has helped in building up camaraderie and nurtured
friendship among the families of our community through
socio-cultural events, matrimonial alliance, merit
scholarships and so on. With the settlement of some
senior members & families in their home-towns
and due to the sad and untimely demise of Shri Vasudhevan
in October 2011, the Association suffered some set-backs
in its growth and consolidation.
The Executive Committee, with the active support and
co-operation from all members and families wish to
seriously take forward the activities of the Association
and for this purpose, seek guidance and encouragement
from one and all.
